What is digital communication?
Digital. Behind this pervasive neologism lies first and foremost the digitisation of information media. However, this is probably not the most important aspect, but rather the change in strategy that this dematerialisation implies. Let’s take a closer look at digital communication.
Digital communication is first and foremost about digitising information media. But beyond that, it also means looking at corporate communication as an entire ecosystem, an environment that encompasses and acts in all the dimensions of digital.
From my point of view, digital communication defines, within a digital ecosystem, the communication strategy and actions to be carried out on the web, social media, mobile devices and connected objects.
Digital communication was initially applied to the web, social media and mobile devices. It is now opening up to new channels and technological trends: virtual reality, chatbots and voicebots, connected speakers, big data and blockchain, etc.
